Brand new duet with Daniel O’Donnell!
Donegal singer David James (22) is joined by Daniel O’Donnell on his new track ‘Don’t Take the Good Times For Granted’ released Friday 29th January on the DMG TV label.
Written by singer-songwriter Shunie Crampsey, the song is a conversation between a younger man and an older man and is fitting for the times we find ourselves in. The young man is quite anxious about life and asks the older man for his advice which is “don’t take the good times for granted”. The pairing of Daniel’s well-loved vocals with David’s powerful delivery makes this a track for fans of all ages, with a message that resonates with us all in light of the last year.
David James said: “I remember going to see Daniel in concert when I was 14. I was mesmerised not only by Daniel but by the band, the lights, the full show! It was certainly a catalyst for me to pursue a career in music. Thinking back on that night, I never dreamt that I would get the opportunity to record with Daniel eight years later! It was an honour to work on this track with him. The song is so fitting for the times that we are living in and I am very excited to let the public hear it.”
Daniel O’Donnell said: “I am delighted to have had the opportunity to record this duet with David James. He has a great voice and a super personality. We were blessed that Shunie Crampsey wrote this song especially for us. Shunie is a great writer and I loved the song as soon as I heard it. I think David has a great future ahead of him in the music business and I hope this recording will bring his talents to a lot of people who I know will love him.”
